MEMORIAL DAY 2026. 9:00 May 25, 2026 at Veterans Park on West Shore Road in Warwick. Please bring your faded & tattered flags for the Community Flag Retirement Ceremony. Kindly cut your flag into horizontal strips. The blue field remains intact. This family frienevent is FREE, open to the public and fully accessible.

Saturday July 25, 2026 we will hold our Bootcamp Breakfast at the Pilgrim Senior Center in Warwick from 8 - 11. A savory FREE hot breakfast, catered by PB&J Restaurant, will kickoff the morning followed by a Resource Fair and career transition classes on resume prep & interview skills.
The City of Warwick will hold its annual remembrance ceremony Friday, September 11, 2026 at the 9/11 Memorial Garden in Oakland Beach to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
The ceremony will begin precisely at 10:28 a.m. with a moment of silence to observe the exact time when the North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed.
Check back often to learn of the Guest Speakers and other special additions to this solemn occaision. The great City of Warwick is proud to host this important gathering to memorialize the tragic loss of life and educate our youth on the profound significance of keeping the memories of 9-11 close to our hearts.
Each year we incorporate members of the Warwick Police and Fire Departments, veterans and local school children into our ceremony. This community event is open to the public and is disability inclusive. Seating is limited so please consider bringing a camp chair. This is a local memorial event. MISSION: Boots to Briefcases sponsors a Veterans Coffee Break the second Monday of each month at the Pilgrim Senior Center, at 27 Pilgrim Parkway, Warwick RI from 10:30 - 11:45. This is a great opportunity to network with other veterans, have your questions answered, hear from informative speakers or register for healthcare benefits through the Veterans Administration.
The next Veterans Coffee Break is May 11, 2026. 10:30 - 11:45, Pilgrim Senior Center. Speakers include DAV, 988 and Vet Center.
We are proud to announce that Chelo's Family Restaurant & Grille will once again sponsor a monthly "Salute to Veterans" (The first Wednesday of each month) at their Warwick location on 2224 Post Road, across from TF Green International Airport. When you stop by for a meal, dessert, drinks or order take-out by phone, simply tell your server that you are there supporting "Mission Boots to Briefcases" and write our name on the merchant's receipt. Up to 20% of your check will be donated to our nonprofit. You can have your cake, eat it too and support local veterans! We all win; thanks Chelo's!
