• America 250th Celebration: The state is actively planning numerous events throughout 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, with a focus on Rhode Island's role in the American Revolution. 
• 1/7, Veterans Salute at Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille, all day & evening, 2225 Post Road, Warwick RI (across from TF Green International Airport
• 1/7, Veterans Resource Fair  (Charlestown):  5-7 PM at the Downy Weaver American Legion, 22 Whipple Drive Charlesown  for health, benefits, PACT Act info, etc..
• 1/8,  "The History & Legacy of the Black Regiment" Hosted by the town of North Kingstown as part of their 2026 Speaker Series,  6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, at Town Hall (80 Boston Neck Rd)
