8/8: Veterans Meet & Greet Breakfast hosted by the Warwick Chapter of the Vincent dePaul Society at St. Kevin's Church,  8 - 10 at the Church Hall, 333 Sandy Lane Warwick RI

8/8:   Operation Bands for Veterans: Slated for August 8, 2026 (starting at 1:00 PM) at the Tavern on HIII in West Greenwich. 8/9:   World Humanitarium Day

8/9:   "Cruise In for a Cause"    Starting at 10:00 AM at Mt Hope Farm in Bristol. This charity car show supports veterans and military families and features custom trophies and a special cruise through the Rhode Island Veterans Home.  Presented by the  James D. Rielly Foundation.

8/14:   Navajo Code Talkers Day

8/15:   7TH CALLING ALL VETERANS DAY, 10 - 1:00, SEABEE MUSEUM & MEMORIAL PARK, NORTH KINGSTOWN. FREE RESOURCE FAIR. 

8/17: MONTHLY VETERANS COFFEE BREAK, 10:30 - 12:00 at Pilgrim Senior Center 27 Pilgrim Parkway, Warwick.  Join us for a FREE Continental Breakast and two excellent presentations.  AARP of RI will discuss the varous "rideshares" statewide, including "Go Go Grandparent"  and Blue Cross/Blue Shield will discuss "How to handle a CHAMPUS SHORTFALL."  

8/18:   VETERANS COFFEE SOCIAL, " From Slaves to Soldiers---the First RI Regiment in the  American Revolution", 6 -7 p.m. Large Meeting Room,  Warwick Central Library 600 Sandy Lane

8/19:   VA CONNECT  4 - 6 p.m. Providence VA Medical Center Main Bld, 5th floor classrooms,  year-end updates, learn about new projects on the horizon, and get face-to-face support with enrollment and benefits.  

8/21:   National Senior Citizens Day

8/26:   Women's Equality Day

9/8:    Veterans Resource Fair & Support Event, 10 - 12, URI Memorial Union Building, 50 Lower College Road.

9/11: "We Promise to Never Forget" a 25th Anniversary Commemmoration of the September 11th Attacks. Oakland Beach Memorial Garden, 885 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick, beginning precisely at 10:28 - 12:00. Seating is limited so please bring a portable camp chair if you cannot arrive early.

9/11:  RI STATE POLICE ANNUAL 9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY, 311A Danielson Pike Scituate, 8:30.

9/11:  In Tribute to those lost during 9/11,  Members of the American Legion, Marine Corps League and other groups gathered at the columbarium at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.  

9/11:  24-Hour Ruck Honoring the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. Active-Duty Military, Veterans, First Responders and families are welcome to ruck any distance they choose. 9/11 - 9/13:   (beginning sundown) Rosh Hashanah

9/14:   MONTHLY VETERANS COFFEE BREAK, Pilgrim Senior Center 27 Pilgrim Parkway Warwick. Free Continental Breakfast served during special presentation, "Be Your Own Firewall" handling unauthorized and malicious threats to your internal network. 10:30 - 12:00.

9/19:  ANNUAL VETERANS CAR SHOW, 9-3 RI Veterans Home 480 Metacom Avenue Bristol, RI. $20 registration fee. Please bring one unwrapped toy for "Toys for Tots" and 2 canned goods for local families. On-site registration begins at 9:00.

9/18:   NATIONAL POW-MIA RECOGNITION DAY

9/18:   TABLES OF REMEMBRANCE (ALL DAY):  International Museum of WWII, Peacedale Library, Kingston Free Library, South Kingstown Town Hall, URI Memorial Union Building. 

 9/19:  HONORING THE 1ST RHODE ISLAND REGIMENT. A historical presentation paying tribute to the 1st RI Regiment, a celebrated military unit during the American Revolution known for its historic recruitment of Black and Indigenous soldiers. Smith's Castle 55 Richard Smith Drive North Kingstown RI. Free & open to the public.

9/20 -21 (beginning sundown) Yom Kippor
