VFW membership is open to all veterans of foreign wars including military service members from active duty, the national guard and reserve forces. Family members' families are invited to join the auxiliary. The VFW National Guard assists members in accessing their federal and State benefits, will help cover rent, utilities or groceries for struggling military families and have a welcoming place for members to meet.

 The Rhode Island Indian Council, Inc. is one of the largest Indian and Native American-funded non-profits in the country, dedicated to supporting the social, economic, and cultural well-being of tribal communities. Serving Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York, the Council has empowered Native American communities for over 45 years, fostering economic independence and brighter futures for generations to come.

RI Military Organization is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization operating the RIMO Military Lounge at TF Green International Airport and offering transition services for military, assisting with enrollment in VA Healthcare for all earned benefits.

 Connect with other military spouses and families. Blue Star Families offers the nation’s largest digital community solely focused on supporting military-connected families. It is an online community for families looking to get connected and feel empowered to thrive. 

 Honoring Fallen Heroes hosts a variety of events in different areas. Such workshops and events provide an opportunity for networking and learning about programs available to Veteran and Gold Star Families. At these events, presenters are almost entirely American veterans who are able to offer guidance, insight, and empathy. 

This organization helps veterans file claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs for healthcare, compensation, and disability pensions. They assist with burial benefits for qualified veterans and their spouses, caregiver services, vocational readiness, and employment benefits.

This is the State's hub for serving veterans, active duty, reservists and military families with navigating veterans benefits, military ID/documentation and referral services, including the Military Home in Bristol RI and Veterans Memorial Cemetary.

 Provides statewide referrals to member agencies who offer individual and group counseling  services to victims of sexual assault free of charge. Individual counseling is available to victims ages 13 and up.  

We educate people about home ownership and arrange financing for purchase, refinance, and reverse mortgage loans when appropriate.

We also actively work with government agencies and banks to accept properties that need renovation. Using local labor, we convert those properties to be sold at below-market prices.
